Writing and sending a quote

Pick the customer and car, mark the damage, check the price and send it by email or WhatsApp — all on one screen.

New quote is one screen in three parts: who it's for, the damage, and the price. The bar at the bottom always says what's still missing.

  1. Customer. Type a name, number or registration in Who is the quote for? Pick them from the list, or choose New customer — whatever you typed goes into the right box (a phone number into Mobile, a registration onto the car).
  2. Car. Pick one of their cars, or + Another car and type the registration, make, model and colour. The colour paints the car drawing.
  3. Damage. Click each damaged panel on the drawing and count the dents by size (see Recording the damage).
  4. Options. Say whether you've seen the car or are working from photos only, add Corrosion protection if needed, choose a Price list if you have several, and write a Note for the customer.
  5. Send. Press Save & send, or Save draft to finish later.

After sending you'll see Quote #… is out. It's been emailed if the customer has an email address. Press Send on WhatsApp or Copy the link to send it where they actually answer.

Photos only? Send a range

If you haven't seen the car, choose Photos only. The customer sees a price range instead of a single figure, confirmed when the car is seen. How wide the range is comes from your rate book.

Still stuck?

Press Get help in the portal or under More in the Dentz app, or email hello@dentz.co.za. A person answers, usually within the working day.
